Budapest: City Hotels and Accommodation
Central Budapest lies just 16 km / 10 miles north-west of Budapest Ferihegy Airport (BUD) and contains a particularly comprehensive selection of hotels. Accommodation is at its busiest and most expensive during the summer months, although even at this time of the year, available hotel rooms are rarely hard to find. However, during the famous Grand Prix event, held each year in August, huge crowds of visitors arrive in Budapest, many of which are looking for lodging. Therefore, those planning to stay in Budapest during the month of August should be sure to book accommodation prior to arrival.
Many popular hotels in the city of Budapest boast private thermal waters, which are famous in the area for their healing properties. Further accommodation can be found overlooking the beautiful Buda Hills, where a selection of cheap guest houses offer excellent value for money.
