Budapest Ferihegy Airport dates back to the middle of 1950, when it first opened its doors to the commercial aviation industry of Hungary. The next decade saw a short extension to the runway, to accommodate large planes requiring longer take-offs. In the mid-1980s, there were major celebrations at Ferihegy Airport, when its new terminal building was finally completed.
There is an ATM in each of the terminals at Budapest Ferihegy Airport, a well as post offices and bureaux de change counters.
